The Jackson Summer Concert Series, founded by Mark Ware in conjunction with the Jackson Lake Association and numerous sponsors, embraces a diverse lineup of artists, each contributing their unique musical backgrounds and stories to the vibrant event. Mark has brought multiple headliners to our lake, and we eagerly await to see who his special guests will be each year. These concerts are held on the weekends of Memorial Day, the 4th of July, and Labor Day.
Mark Ware, a musician and songwriter from Monticello, Georgia, began his musical journey by playing piano at church every Sunday in his early years. At 19, he founded the gospel group All-4-Him, leading to the creation of Shiloh, a successful southern rock band that dominated the Atlanta music scene for over 14 years. Serving simultaneously as a professional Firefighter/EMT, Mark found inspiration during the 2020 COVID lockdowns to establish the Jackson Summer Concert Series, a collaboration with local businesses and the Jackson Lake Association. This series, along with Mark's musical career, has soared in popularity. Mark has sold out local shows and performed alongside renowned Nashville recording artists like Mark Wills, David Allen Coe, Rhett Walker, Jason Aldean, and Demun Jones at amphitheaters and events nationwide.
